Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka came off the bench to score his first goal of the season to help English Premier League side Leicester City to a 3-1 win over West Ham United.
This was only Daka’s third appearance this season after a long lay off due to injury that kept the Zambian ace striker out of action for months.
Daka struck a 90th minute goal to put the icing on the cake for the former English Premier League champions.
Brought on as a substitute at the 60th minute mark by new coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, Daka made no mistake when he fired the ball into the roof of the net.
He delicately touched a loose ball around the centre line, beating West Ham defender Maximilian Kilman to it.
Daka then carried the ball into space, as a trailing Kilman failed to catch up with the pacey Zambian striker before getting himself into the box and firing the ball into the roof of the net.
The finish was a typical striker’s goal which would have made Van Nistelrooy proud himself was a lethal striker during his Manchester United days over 20 years ago.
Van Nistelrooy earned his first win as Leicester City manager, beating West Ham 3-1 on Tuesday at the King Power Stadium.
Veteran striker Jamie Vardy gave Leicester a dream start at the King Power Stadium with an early goal before El Khannous scored the second goal.
This was only the third win for the home side, which coincided with Dutch coach van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge.
