WOMEN LEADERS BIND FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES INTO GREATNESS – BANDA

The Men’s Network for Gender and Development has congratulated Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwa for becoming the first ever female President of  Namibia.

Men’s Network for Gender and Development National Coordinator Nelson Banda says his organisation is elated to see many women in Africa occupying government political positions to promote gender equality.

ZANIS reports that  Mr. Banda stated in an interview  that  his organization that works with men and boys to advance gender equality, is confident that the new President Nandi- Ndaitwa will inspire not only Namibian women but the rest of African women especially the young to aspire for presidency positions.

” The African political syllabus for future generations of African women is getting stronger as more women are taking power having started with Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, Joyce Banda of Malawi, Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania and now H. E Ndaitwa of Namibia, ” he said.  

The Men’s Network chairman  further acknowledged that women’s leadership brings new skills to the political agenda  that he said have a passion to focus more on matters that affect the nation such as health, education, water and sanitation.

 Women leaders are not only liberators from poverty but they bind families and communities into great nations.

Mr. Banda further wished the best to the newly elected female President and the people of Namibia.
