President Hakainde Hichilema has been hailed by His Royal Highness Chief Simamba of Southern Province for being the First President to grace the Bagande Lwiindi since its establishment.
His Royal Highness Chief Simamba who spoke through his representative Fanwell Simamba during the ceremony said President Hichilema’s acceptance to grace the ceremony demonstrates his Government’s commitment to uphold unity and peace in the country.
He further hailed the President for committing to fulfil his campaign promises as evidenced by the many developmental policies that he has introduced such as devolution, increased CDF and staff recruitment.
Meanwhile President Hakainde Hichilema has sent a stern warning to subjects in the area who are in the habit of stealing livestock and other infrastructure of stiff consequences especially with the removal of bail on all theft offences.
The Head of State extended the warning to subjects who are in the habit of marrying underage children, warning them of maximum 24 years non-bailable imprisonment.
He encouraged the Citizens to embrace hard work and take advantage of the many Empowerment opportunities that the government has placed at their disposal instead.
