The Japanese Nippon Foundation through the Ambassador of Japan to Zambia has donated more than 150 books to the University of Zambia (UNZA) library in Lusaka today.
Speaking during the handover ceremony UNZA Vice Chancellor Mundia Muya, says the donation will enhance understanding and cooperation in the area of education and culture between the two countries.
ZANIS reports that Prof. Muya said the books will not only support UNZA students but Zambia as a whole.
He noted that this will promote mutual understanding and build strong bridges between the two nations.
And the Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Takeuchi Kazuyuki highlighted that the books will provide insights and knowledge about Japan which will broaden the student’s perspectives.
