GOVT. COMMENDED FOR BOOSTING THE EDUCATION SECTOR

NORTHERN Province Educational Officer Mulambwa Nawa has praised the government for the infrastructure and implementation of the free education policy.

Mr Nawa says it is gratifying to see how infrastructure in the education sector is being put up in the province and cited the 17 schools being built under the Zambia Education Enhancement Projects (ZEEP) as one of the projects that will help increase class space in the province.

ZANIS reports that Mr Nawa was speaking when he officially opened a training workshop for 150 projects Implementation Committees drawn from 8 districts in the province.

Meanwhile, Mbala District Commissioner, Justus Sikazwe, has commended the government for supporting education infrastructure development in the area.

Mr Sikazwe notes that the education sector has received much attention in infrastructure and successful rollout of free education which he said are a milestone in the district.

And Zambia Education Programme Coordination Unit (ZEPCU) Communications Specialist, Hyde Haguta, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to ensuring quality education in Zambia. 

Mr Haguta has emphasised that prioritising education is crucial to safeguarding the future of the Zambian citizens.
