A climate Change Activist in Kabwe, Billy Sichamba, has expressed concern that the unpredictable weather patterns being experienced in some parts of the country will have devastating effects on agriculture and threaten food security especially among rural communities.
ZANIS reports that Mr Sichamba notes that action against climate change is imperative as it respects no borders, religion or ethnicity.
He has stressed the need for urgent and concerted efforts from all sectors to tackle the challenges associated with climate change.
Mr Sichamba further notes that civic, religious and traditional leaders have a responsibility of transforming the mindsets of the people towards climate change.
