ZAMBIA is set to host the 2025 Africa Energy Indaba slated for June next year.
The Indaba which aims at addressing the energy challenges faced on the continent is being organized by Kavland Group International limited who have partnered with Chinese Shenzhen Biao up company with support from the Chinese government and other partners on the continent.
Kavland Chairperson, Chisenga Lwipa explained that the initiative is to contribute to the country’s efforts to eliminate the power deficit the continent is experiencing.
Mr Lwipa who was speaking during the official launch of the conference and expo in Lusaka this afternoon added that the conference also aims to reshape the international financial order, Foster a global industrial system and strengthen cooperation in finance trade and industry.
And ShenZhen Biaopu Credit Co Limited CEO Jiang Zhao said the global south countries are more united and are in support of Africa’s quest to fight energy poverty hence the joint launch of the event.
He highlighted that the advancement in technology should unite the world and foster peace and prosperity instead of de-globalizing the world.
Meanwhile, representative of the Organising Committee in China Wang Shengjie described the summit as one that will launch a movement on how to solve the problem of power shortage on the African continent and promote the Industrialization process in Africa.
The conference will be held under the theme: Industrializing Africa through sustainable energy supply and infrastructure development.
