LUPOSOSHI COUNCIL HANDS OVER K1.1 MILLION CDF GRANTS

LUPOSOSHI Town Council has handed over K1.1 Millon Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grants to various beneficiaries across the district.

Acting Council Secretary, David Mbulo, says the money has been given to 29 clubs from applications that were submitted last year.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mbulo has since advised beneficiaries to use the money given to them to improve their livelihoods.

And speaking in a speech read for him by Lupososhi District Disaster Management Coordinator, Leviticus Kabwe, District Commissioner, Simon Mwenya, pledged government’s continued commitment to empowering people.

Mr Mwenya has advised beneficiaries to ultilise the grants and loans well if they are to improve their living standards.

He warned against any misuse of funds saying those found wanting will not be taken lightly.

“We will closely monitor the utilisation of these grants and report any irregularities to the relevant authorities,” he cautioned.
