WORLD Fitness Federation Zambia (WFF) will be hosting bodybuilding classic 2025 competition, on March 29, 2025 from 14:00 to 22:00 at Phoenix Lounge in Kabwe district, Central province.
WFF held the first Central Province Classic 2024 last year and the competition was held in Kabwe at Busy B Entertainment for the very first time.
In an interview with ZANIS Sports, WFF president Peter Chanda said the decision to host the Central Province Classic 2025 competition in the provincial capital was arrived at to promote fitness and bodybuilding at the grassroots level in all corners of the country.
Chanda said this was with the sole objective to provide local athletes with a platform to showcase their talent, and foster community engagement.
“By bringing the event to Central Province, we aim to inspire more youths to pursue a healthy lifestyle and spotlight the region’s potential in the fitness and bodybuilding industry,” Chanda said.
He stated that last year the event attracted about 60 young talented athletes and all within the Central Province Region.
The federation has started marketing the event to stakeholders and companies that are interested to come on board to support the event and sponsorship request letters have already been submitted to stakeholders as well as the government, the federation is just waiting for responses.
Chanda has encouraged the sports’ enthusiasts taking part at the central province classic 2025 to register for the competition before the event day.
Meanwhile, WFF central province chairman Isikanda Noyoo says the competition is about promoting sports through bodybuilding and fitness.
Noyoo said the competition involves youths from Central province, both male and female and it is a qualifier for Bloem classic slated for April 26,2025 Which will take place in Bloemfontein South Africa.
The recent African league of champions 2024 for a competition which was held on 08 December, 2024 at The music club East park, Lusaka.
It attracted over twelve countries from across Africa, Zambia managed to win three trophies, that is gold medals and a number of silver medals.
