THE Lusaka City Council has distributed over 700 bottles of chlorine in different public places of Lusaka.

LCC Assistant Public Relations Manager, Bulumba Nyambe says this is in a bid to prevent the outbreak of diseases such as cholera and for the people to have clean and safe drinking water.

She was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka.

“We are working in partnership with other companies like trade Kings which is supplying us with chlorine and we are appealing to other stakeholders to come on board,” Ms Nyambe said.

Ms Nyambe has since urged members of the public to stop throwing garbage anyhow especially in drainages.
