CLERGY ENCOURAGES CHRISTIANS TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER

A Church Elder in Western Province has called on all Christians to love one another as it is an obligation and command from God.

Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church Elder in Mongu District, Munukayumbwa Muyambango urged church members to show love to God and fellow people through giving and sharing.

He said this at Ilute SDA Church during the 10 days of prayer under the theme ‘When you pray’ being conducted in all SDA churches country wide since 8th January and ending on 18th January 2025.

Mr Muyambango stressed the need and importance of giving and sharing with others, saying it is the best way for Christians to show love to their fellow believers and neighbours.

“It is important to give what we can and have to God when we are still alive. Let us learn to share what we have with our fellow church members and neighbours”, he said.

Mr Muyambango challenged both the leadership and general church members at Ilute SDA church that the best way to show their love was through giving.

“According to Matthew 6:35, ask for today, ask to share what you have, ask to seek blessings before Christ’ followers, don’t be greedy, the true demonstration to show love to God is by being a blessing to God’s people. Before going to preach to people, show them love by giving,” he said.

Mr Muyambango said that people were failing to receive blessings from God because of being selfish and unfaithful to God.

He implored the congregation to change for better during and after the 10 days of prayer by being faithful and cheerful givers to God and their fellow people in the community.

Mr Muyambango urged the church to always pray, allow the Holy Spirit to work within them and never get tired of love but always love to do good in the church as well as in the community.
