GOVERNMENT has commended Kabulonga Girls Secondary School for renovating 10 classroom blocks using K108,000 from the quarterly school grants of K374,000 provided by the government.

Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary for Administration, Noraina Muneku, states that the timely disbursement of grants allowed the school to utilise the funds for infrastructure improvements.

ZANIS reports that speaking when she inspected the classrooms, Ms Muneku noted that the renovations align with the government’s efforts to enhance educational infrastructure.

She urged other schools to follow the example of Kabulonga Girls Secondary by prioritising infrastructure development and maintenance to make a comfortable learning environment for learners.

Ms Muneku further emphasised the importance of regular upkeep of school structures to prevent structures from deteriorating.

She also announced that the government is constructing 20 high-standard schools nationwide, which are expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head Teacher of Kabulonga Girls Secondary, Gershom Mumba acknowledged the significant contribution of the grants to the school’s development.
