ISOKA DC COMMENDS MUCHINGA SECONDARY SCHOOL

ISOKA District Commissioner Jairo Simbeye has commended Muchinga Secondary School in Isoka District for its alignment with the government’s new curriculum.

Mr Simbeye, notes with delight how the enrollment figures and the Free Education Policy are working seamlessly together to create a positive impact.

ZANIS reports that the Isoka District Commissioner was speaking during a spot-check visit to monitor and appreciate the operations at the learning institution.

“I am happy with what I’ve seen here at Muchinga Secondary School. The new curriculum, coupled with the increase in enrollment and the Free Education Policy, is working perfectly in sync. This is exactly what we envisioned as a government, to provide quality education that is accessible to all,” he said.

Mr Simbeye also acknowledged the school’s 97 percent pass rate for the year 2024 and praised its commitment to inclusivity.

He was particularly impressed with the presence of children with special needs units, which currently accommodates eight children with disabilities under the care of dedicated teachers.

“Having a unit for children with special needs shows the school’s commitment to inclusivity. It’s encouraging to see that no child is left behind in accessing education,” he said.

The pass rate here is also commendable and a clear reflection of the hard work by the teachers and students,” he added.

Furthermore, Mr Simbeye encouraged pupils to make full use of the resources provided and to remain focused on their studies, noting that education remains the cornerstone of development in the district.

And speaking on behalf of the pupils, Muchinga Secondary School Head Boy Clarence Sichimata thanked the government for its continued support.

“We are grateful for the desks, the qualified teachers, and, most importantly, the Free Education Policy. These efforts have made a big difference in our learning experience and are giving us hope for a brighter future,” he said.
