The Construction of Chief Muchila’s Palace in Namwala District is progressing well and has reached about 70% completion.
Namwala Town Council Public Relations officer Nchimunya Lukub,i disclosed this to ZANIS Namwala saying the project is funded under the 2023 CDF funds allocation at a cost one million kwacha.
Ms Lukubi says the local authority has engaged the Zambia Correctional Services as Contractor working on the construction of chief Muchila’s palace.
“Government holds traditional values in high regard and firmly believes in supporting our traditional leaders. In keeping with this commitment , the government has prioritized the provision of decent accommodation for our chiefs” she said.
The Construction of the Palace includes a spacious palace, a meeting room and two retainers houses.
