Govt. extolled for infrastructure development

Liyovu Ward Councilor in Zambezi district, Wesley Wachi has expressed appreciation to government for its on-going infrastructure development efforts.

Mr Wachi has thanked government for the significant infrastructure improvements witnessed in his ward.

He highlighted the construction of over five health posts funded through the enhanced Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the ongoing construction of a bridge at Kasizhi river.

And Mr Wachi lauded the government for the increase in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), saying this will facilitate more development for the Zambian people. 

He said over 150 youths have been sponsored for skills development, and 50 secondary school pupils are benefiting from CDF boarding bursaries.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS, Mr Wachi emphasized the pivotal role of CDF in driving development in the country.

He further commended President Hakainde Hichilema, for the strategic decision to enhance the CDF, which has significantly impacted rural areas such as Liyovu.

Mr Wachi called on all Zambians to acknowledge and support the government’s efforts, towards ensuring equitable distribution of resources among the citizens.
