Drizzles to hit Zambia from Sunday

I n the coming week, the country is expected to experience an increase in winds and a significant reduction in temperature for over a week starting from Sunday, 9 th June.

The development will give rise to dusty conditions  likely to  lead to increased cases of flue and other health conditions

According to the Metrological Department in its statement obtained by ZANIS, occurrence of light showers is also expected in some parts of Lusaka, Central , Eastern and Muchinga  provinces , respectively.

The Department attributes this kind of weather to a strong pressure system over the south-eastern coast of South Africa it says will be inducing a strong, moisty and cold airflow over most parts of the country.

It advises the general public to keep warm as possible due to the anticipated low temperature and avoiding open areas due to dusty conditions.

Users of water transport and fishers are advised to take precautionary measures to avoid accidents due to windy conditions, expected.
