GOVERNMENT has refuted some media reports that it has granted special Leases to owners of properties in Forest Reserve 27.

Minister of Lands, Sylvia Masebo, says thestory which was published by the Daily Nation on November 18, 2024, must be regarded as propaganda and a fake story.

Ms Masebo was speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka on Tuesday.

She stated that there has been no cabinet seating that has decided to re- gazette the remaining 281 hectares of land in the ForestReserve 27.

Ms Masebo has therefore clarified that any illegal occupation of forest 27 will be addressed according to the law, which includes demolition.

She later disclosed that she has started conducting district tours which will help in resolving land issues countrywide.
