SHANGOMBO District Electoral Officer Exildah Kabutu has commended stakeholders and all political party players involved in Lilondo Local Government By-Elections for exhibiting peace during the process.

Ms Kabutu encouraged all stakeholders to continue with the spirit of peace as the by-elections draws near adding that they are a family.

ZANIS reports that she was speaking at a stakeholders meeting held at Shangombo Council Chamber on Tuesday.

“I would like to appreciate what has been happening on the ground. Thank you so much for exhibiting peace during this process,” Ms Kabutu said. 

Ms Kabutu emphasised on the need to remain united adding that there is only one winner in every contention.

“As we are nearing the end of our activity I would like to urge everyone to continue with the same spirit because we are a family (one people),” Ms Kabutu said.

She also highlighted the importance of electoral briefing to law enforcement personnel.

“You are very important key players during the process because you enforce security and order,” Ms Kabutu said.
