Northern Province Permanent Secretary Bernard Mpundu has applauded the Provincial Education Office for being rated number three in the country in the 2024 Grade Nine results.
Mr Mpundu says it is gratifying that the province has become number three adding that it is a clear testimony of hard work from the education department in the province.
He has since encouraged the department to continue working hard.
ZANIS reports that the DPS said this when he received a brief from Northern Province Education Officer Mulambwa Nawa in Mbala today.
And, Mr Nawa has attributed the good performance to the support that the department is receiving from the government.
Mr Nawa has observed that in the past the province was coming sixth or seventh in the country adding that from the support the department is receiving things have now changed.
He has expressed happiness that the Grade Nine examinations were malpractice free in the province.
