Lupososhi District Commissioner Simon Mwenya says the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) loans and grants awarded to people in the district are impacting positively in reducing poverty at household and district level.

Mr Mwenya says people receiving the funds are utilizing the money to better their lives through various business ventures. 

Mr Mwenya told ZANIS in an interview that he is happy that most of the beneficiaries of the loans have been paying back as expected.

He has, however, appealed to other beneficiaries of the loans to ensure that they repay the money, saying loans are expected to be paid back.

Mr Mwenya has advised the Constituency Development Fund Committee (CDFC) in the district to ensure that they sensitize people if they are to get support from the government through loans and grants.
