“I am very grateful that everyone has gathered to show solidarity and support to the victims of the fire that happened last year in December. It touched all of us and we deliberately created a platform and the business community came on board where we gave ourselves a task for each one of us to contribute something for a period of one month towards assisting the victims,” Mr Miyombo said.

He thanked the group for their efforts and contributions to help out the two affected women at an appropriate time.

Both Doreen Mwanamwalye and Kubangu Chilevu expressed gratitude towards the great gesture of love and teamwork shown to them, stating that it indicates a spirit of Godliness, love and togetherness in times of trouble.

“I don’t even know what to say to thank you for what you have done to me by helping me stand up from my loss, only God knows the best reward for you. I didn’t even know that I would receive this money for it has come as a surprise because I was just called that I am wanted here at Country lodge for a meeting,” Ms Mwanamwalye said.
